How Mortgage Broker Select works

Here is how borrowers find and contact brokers, and how brokers manage their listing.

For borrowers

  1. Search your area

Enter your suburb, postcode or use your location. We show mortgage brokers near you, ordered by distance, with any Featured listings labelled.

  2. Compare brokers

See what each broker specialises in, the lenders they work with, how they are paid, how they meet (office, phone, video or home visits), languages, licence details and Google ratings.

  3. Contact the ones you choose

Call a broker, visit their website or send an enquiry from their listing. Or send one enquiry to up to three brokers, who then contact you. No obligation to go ahead.

For brokers

  1. Claim your listing

Claim your listing at no cost and check your specialties, licence details and contact details. We check changes to your name and address before they go live.

  2. Get found

Borrowers searching in your area find your listing and compare it with other brokers.

  3. Receive enquiries

Borrowers call you or send an enquiry, which is emailed straight to you. Reply from your usual email.

Frequently asked questions

Does it cost anything to use Mortgage Broker Select?

Borrowers do not pay Mortgage Broker Select to search, compare or send an enquiry. Some brokers pay us for a fuller listing or a labelled local featured section. Payment does not change the order of ordinary results. Brokers are usually paid by the lender, and some also charge a fee, so ask each broker how they are paid.

How are listings compiled?

Listings are compiled from publicly available information, including business websites and public registers. We review listings for accuracy before publishing and accept correction requests from brokers.

Can I compare several brokers?

Yes. Open each listing to compare specialties, lenders, meeting options and how each broker is paid. You can call any of them, send an enquiry to each one you choose, or send one enquiry to up to three brokers at once. An enquiry only goes to the brokers you pick.

How do I check a broker is licensed?

Mortgage brokers in Australia must hold an Australian Credit Licence or be a credit representative of a licensee. Where we hold it, a listing shows the licence or credit representative number. You can check it on ASIC Professional Registers.

Where do ratings come from?

Ratings shown on broker profiles are aggregated from public Google reviews. We do not verify the source of each individual review.
